Uganda is well
renowned state for fighting against HIV
and AIDS epidemic on world scale , through its famous
anti epidemic policy ,That creates awareness , emphasizing prevention ,
supplementing on treatment of
victimized nationals , despite
facing challenges of various social crimes related to high spread of the disease that merge on high a speed with in
, its territory like the most recent HIV
/AIDS report stated 0f 2013 .
I there fore acknowledge the Ugandan government, the world
health organization, various bodies, agencies and individuals, that have
embarked this policy for their continuous effort towards the world goal of
living a free HIV generation .
How ever there are
some societies that have been ignored by the policy strategies indirectly, like
for example, the “street community” where
merging numbers of teenagers, men and women tend to maintain their lives as
it’s illustrated below.
There fore , the
following illustrates how the Uganda street community is fully discriminated
from the public policy in campaign against HIV/AIDS .
In Uganda , the main streams of creating awareness for
HIV/AIDS is through, radio , television
, public press broadcast and print media as well , but however its too hard for the street community to Mingle or even access any of these stream there by
living the community un aware of the dangers or life threats of the disease to
their community .
Its worse since one
has to buy a condom, like for example a female condom costs between 3000-25,000 UGX and male condom 500- 15,000 UGX an amount that’s unaffordable to women and men
in that community. There by giving away
through for continuous spread of the disease with in the street community.
the street community
is highly discriminated in Ugandan society , it’s there fore unbearable for the street native to mingle
with the rest of community in public places where the resources are distributed to finial
user “ victim” since the general public considers the street native as total
out cast in the community .
